Our Mission

Imperial Dynasty is not only a competition drill team, but a learning center and mentoring organization. We thrive on keeping the art of dance and music a big part of life in our community but recognize the need to help our youth advance in education and move towards their dreams. Through partnership with the Boys and Girls Club we offer many programs to help children succeed academically and in life.
Imperial Dynasty is built on positive, often reconstructed discipline, perseverance, trust, self-esteem, teamwork, motivation, positive attitudes, education, awareness and personal success. Our vision came to life in 2003 and has steadily progressed. More children have been removed from the street corners and are using their time in a more positive way in the structured environment offered. We are a competing drill team associated with the American Marching Association (AMA) and the Elite Marching Group of America (EMG). We have 3 competing squads with 65 active members ranging in ages from six - eighteen. We have successfully completed our fourth competing season and have won many trophies including seven (7) National Titles and 2 State Championships. We have also made local appearances for the Neighborhood Network of the City of Wilmington, Duffy's Hope at the Blue Rocks Stadium, Juneteenth events, and have represented our city on First Night. Our goal at this time is to increase parental involvement to assist with practices, chaperoning and organized committees while we also plan to implement self- awareness seminars, career opportunity workshops, reading challenges, and acknowledge academic achievement for honor roll and perfect attendance. As we continue through the years we look forward to continued growth, making this organization memorable for each member and continuously welcoming the support of parents and our community.
